The counter used to live only under its contact, so leaving the import screen lost it. This answers the inverse question — what is running for me — from a Redis set the sweep maintains, never a key scan. Empty array when nothing is running, and never a 5xx: a progress bar cannot be the reason a screen breaks. Demo sessions may read it.
