# Add a team member

`POST /api/v1/teams/{team}/members`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://meettempi.com`
- URL: `https://meettempi.com/api/v1/teams/{team}/members`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - API key in cookie `tempi_session`

Adds someone by email and emails them. If they have an account, they join now. Otherwise the invite is saved and they join when they first sign in with that email, even while sign-ups need the waitlist. Requires admin, and owner to add an owner. Needs the Team plan (402 upgrade_required).

- `team` string, required: the id or slug of a team you belong to

  - `role` 'owner' | 'admin' | 'member': a team role: owner | admin | member
