# Cancel a booking (host)

`POST /api/v1/bookings/{id}/cancel`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://meettempi.com`
- URL: `https://meettempi.com/api/v1/bookings/{id}/cancel`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - API key in cookie `tempi_session`

Cancels a booking you host, or any booking in a team you administer. Paid bookings are refunded in full. If the refund fails, the booking stays active (502 refund_failed). The event is deleted from the organizer's calendar, and Tempi emails the invitee. For a meeting of a series, `following` cancels every later one too.

## Path parameters

- `id` string, required: a booking id ("bkg_…") from list_bookings

## Request body

- object
  - `reason` string: why, shown to the invitee in their email (at most 500 characters, no web addresses)
  - `following` boolean: for a series: also cancel every later meeting

## Response `201`
