# Start a non-started meeting

`POST /v1/meetings/{meetingId}/start`

## Request

- Auth: HTTP bearer

> **Deprecated.**

The endpoint is slated to be replaced by the meeting update endpoint where the state could be changed in a standard way.

**Meeting role** required: *owner* or *presenter*.

## Path parameters

- `meetingId` string, required: A canonical meeting ID string that's generated automatically for new meetings. Normally consists of just alphanumericals; legacy meetings can have dashes and underscores.

## Response `204`

Meeting has successfully started

## Other responses

- `403`: Lacking privileges to start a meeting (owner or manager role required)
- `422`: An error has occurred while starting a meeting
