# Cast a vote on a poll

`PUT /v1/meetings/{meetingId}/polls/{pollId}/vote`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://app.meet.ps/api`
- URL: `https://app.meet.ps/api/v1/meetings/{meetingId}/polls/{pollId}/vote`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Set or update your vote on a given poll.

The format of your vote will depend on the type of the poll being voted on.

Requires a valid session for an attendee who is a participant of a related meeting.

## Path parameters

- `meetingId` string, required: A canonical meeting ID string that's generated automatically for new meetings. Normally consists of just alphanumericals; legacy meetings can have dashes and underscores.
- `pollId` string, required: A common ID format for various objects like polls or Q&A topics or items therein.

## Request body

- union: Request body varies wildly depending on the poll type the answer is for
  - integer: Index of a chosen answer for single, rated or NPS poll types
  - string: String answer for an open text poll
  - integer[]: A list of chosen answer indexes for a multiple-answer or a grid poll

## Response `204`

Update OK

## Other responses

- `401`: Access token is missing or invalid
- `403`: Lacking participant credentials
- `404`: Reference meeting or a poll is nonexistant
