# Edit a Topic

`PUT /v1/meetings/{meetingId}/ideas/sessions/{topicId}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://app.meet.ps/api`
- URL: `https://app.meet.ps/api/v1/meetings/{meetingId}/ideas/sessions/{topicId}`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

**Meeting role** required: *owner*, *presenter* or *ideas-manager*.

## Path parameters

- `meetingId` string, required: A canonical meeting ID string that's generated automatically for new meetings. Normally consists of just alphanumericals; legacy meetings can have dashes and underscores.

## Request body

- Topic: Properties of Topic in Q&A
  - `OCC` string: Pin a Topic to the meeting navbar.
  - `anonymous` boolean: Anonymize the name of the contribution submitter.
  - `callout` string: Custom CTA for attendee to submit item
  - `commentable` boolean: Defines whether comments can be posted on contributions.
  - `description` string: Description of the topic.
  - `downvotable` boolean: Allow downvote to submitted contributions.
  - `email` string: Setting up email notification when new contributions arrive.
  - `emailOffset` integer: Timezone offset in minutes from UTC, to be applied to timestamps used in the email template.
  - `endscreenMessage` string: Thank you message to show when attendee has submitted their contribution.
  - `endscreenMessageEnabled` boolean: Enable thank you message.
  - `maxLength` integer, nullable: Maximum number of characters per attendee submission. Empty means no limit.
  - `maxLengthEnabled` boolean: Enable the submission length limit.
  - `hidePublic` boolean: Hide the contribution voting result.
  - `hideSubmissions` boolean: Hide all submitted contributions in a topic.
  - `icon` 'connect' | 'lightbulb-thick' | 'heart' | 'message-bubble-ellipsis' | 'message-bubble-pop' | 'chart-columns' | 'bookmark' | 'star': Icon to represent a topic.
  - `moderated` boolean: All submitted contributions will be added to moderation state.
  - `newestLast` boolean: Show new contribution at the end of the list.
  - `numChildren` integer: Number of contribution that have been posted in a topic session
  - `speaker` boolean: Show the topic to speaker navbar.
  - `text` string: Topic title
  - `timestamp` integer: Creation timestamp, in millisecond.
  - `upvotable` boolean: Allow upvote on to submitted contributions.
  - `visible` boolean: Show the topic to meeting participants.
  - `readonly` boolean: Whether new contributions and comments can be posted under this topic.
  - `votingMode` 0 | 1 | 2 | 3: Mode of voting 0 - No voting, 1 - 5-star rating, 2 - Upvoting only, 3 - Upvoting & downvoting
  - `id` string: Topic ID
