# Mint a Plaid Link token in update mode for an existing Item

`POST /companies/{companyId}/financial-sync/plaid/relink-token/{integrationId}`

## Request

Starts the self-serve reconnect for a Plaid connection that is flagged needs_reauth. The returned authorizationState must be echoed back to the completion endpoint. A connection whose status is not `connected` was stopped on purpose and is refused with PLAID_RELINK_NOT_APPLICABLE — that customer must connect the bank again rather than reconnect.

## Other responses

- `401`: Authentication required
- `403`: Insufficient permissions or not a company member
- `404`: Integration connection not found for this company
- `409`: Connection is not `connected` (PLAID_RELINK_NOT_APPLICABLE) — it was deliberately disconnected and cannot be reconnected in update mode.
- `422`: Validation error
