# Set the company's presentation currency

`PUT /companies/{companyId}/currencies/presentation`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.medianfi.com/api/v1`
- URL: `https://api.medianfi.com/api/v1/companies/{companyId}/currencies/presentation`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Updates the company's presentation currency. Admin/owner only. Returns the updated currencies view. Rejects a currency outside the enabled set with a 422.

## Request body

- SetPresentationCurrencyInput
  - `currency` string, required: The ISO 4217 presentation currency to set.

## Response `200`

Presentation currency updated; returns the updated currencies view

  - `data` CurrenciesView
    - `presentationCurrency` string, required: ISO 4217 code of the company's presentation currency.
    - `asOf` string, date, nullable, required: The FX as-of date for the returned rates, or null when no persisted rate exists.
    - `currencies` Currency[], required
      - `code` string, required: ISO 4217 currency code.
      - `symbol` string, required
      - `label` string, required
      - `locale` string, required: BCP 47 locale used to format amounts in this currency.
      - `rateToPresentation` number, required: Rate to convert one unit of this currency to the presentation currency.

## Other responses

- `401`: Authentication required
- `403`: Insufficient permissions or not a company member
- `404`: Surface unavailable outside the allowlisted customer rollout
- `422`: Request failed validation
