# Read month end close by customer

`GET /accountant/month-end-close/by-customer`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.medianfi.com/api/v1`
- URL: `https://api.medianfi.com/api/v1/accountant/month-end-close/by-customer`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - API key in header `X-API-Key`

One row per assigned company, each on that company's own close target (the oldest open GL period that has ended), so the list agrees with the customer page. Companies with no ended open period report `nothing_to_close`.

Per-company month-end progress on each company's close target

    - `period` string, nullable: This company's close target label. Null when it has nothing to close.
    - `periodKey` string, nullable: YYYY-MM of the close target. Null exactly when `period` is.

    - `completedSections` integer
    - `needsReview` integer
    - `status` 'completed' | 'in_progress' | 'not_started' | 'nothing_to_close'

## Other responses

- `401`: Authentication required
- `403`: Insufficient permissions or not a company member
