# Read journal entries

`GET /accountant/journal-entries`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.medianfi.com/api/v1`
- URL: `https://api.medianfi.com/api/v1/accountant/journal-entries`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - API key in header `X-API-Key`

Posted journal entries across every assigned customer the accountant may view reports for (up to `limit` rows per customer, 500 by default), newest entry date first (#1703). `data` is a bare array. `meta.hasMore` is true when any customer had more rows than `limit`; `meta.nextCursor` is always null here because cursor paging is customer-scoped only — page one customer via /accountant/companies/{customerId}/journal-entries. `meta.truncated` is true when a customer's report-access lookup could not be evaluated and its entries are missing (#1959).

    - `truncated` boolean: True when at least one assigned customer was dropped from this practice-wide read because its client-status / report-access lookup could not be evaluated, so the payload is short that customer's rows (#1959). A customer deliberately excluded by its client status is not a gap and does not raise this. Always false on the customer-scoped route, which never fans out.

- `403`: Insufficient permissions or not a company member
- `422`: Request failed validation
