# Cancel a proposed or approved transfer match

`POST /accountant/companies/{customerId}/transactions/transfer-matches/{matchId}/cancel`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.medianfi.com/api/v1`
- URL: `https://api.medianfi.com/api/v1/accountant/companies/{customerId}/transactions/transfer-matches/{matchId}/cancel`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - API key in header `X-API-Key`

Rejects a proposed/approved transfer_matches row and records the review. Applied matches must use the unwind endpoint instead so the consolidated JE is voided; unwind is not part of the service-principal manifest.

## Request body

- object
  - `reason` string: Review reason; defaults to a generic cancellation note.

## Response `200`

Cancelled transfer match

## Other responses

- `401`: Authentication required
- `403`: Insufficient permissions or not a company member
- `404`: Resource not found
- `422`: Request failed validation
