# Delete a push rule.

`DELETE /_matrix/client/v3/pushrules/global/{kind}/{ruleId}`

## Request

- Auth: one of:
  - API key in query parameter `access_token`
  - HTTP bearer

This endpoint removes the push rule defined in the path.

## Path parameters

- `kind` 'override' | 'underride' | 'sender' | 'room' | 'content', required
- `ruleId` string, required

## Response `200`

The push rule was deleted.

- `404`: The push rule does not exist.
