# Set the actions for a push rule.

`PUT /_matrix/client/v3/pushrules/global/{kind}/{ruleId}/actions`

## Request

  - API key in query parameter `access_token`

This endpoint allows clients to change the actions of a push rule.
This can be used to change the actions of builtin rules.

## Path parameters

- `kind` 'override' | 'underride' | 'sender' | 'room' | 'content', required
- `ruleId` string, required

## Request body

  - `actions` union[], required: The action(s) to perform for this rule.

## Response `200`

The actions for the push rule were set.

- `404`: The push rule does not exist.
