# Adjust a voice description

`POST /v1/mascots/{id}/voice/adjust`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.masko.ai`
- URL: `https://api.masko.ai/v1/mascots/{id}/voice/adjust`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Rewrites a voice description in one direction, such as "Older" or "Slower", and returns what changed plus directions that fit the new text. Without direction, returns only directions. No credit cost.

- AdjustVoiceBody
  - `description` string, required: The current voice description.
  - `direction` string: A direction such as "Older" or "A little grumpy". Omit it to only get directions for this description.

The rewritten description

    - `description` string, required: The rewritten description.
    - `changes` object[], required: Each replaced or added passage. from is empty for added text.
      - `from` string, required
      - `to` string, required
    - `directions` string[], required: Directions that fit the new description.

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid request
- `401`: Authentication required
- `403`: The key lacks permission, or the voice belongs to the Marketplace creator
- `404`: Mascot, variant or sample not found
- `409`: The variant is not approved yet, or the sample expired
- `429`: Too many voice requests; retry later
- `502`: Masko could not write the ideas or the adjustment; retry
- `503`: The voice service is unavailable; retry later
