# Reset To Upstream

`POST /api/agents/{agent_id}/reset-to-upstream`

## Request

Requests a fresh upstream root while preserving the assigned /data volume.

Active Agents reset now. Sleeping, stopped, and errored Agents keep their
status and apply reset on their next boot. Each admitted POST is a new
destructive request. After an uncertain result, start or restart continues
existing intent; repeating this POST requests another reset.
