# Vector tile for a boundary layer

`GET /v1/tiles/{layer}/{z}/{x}/{y}.pbf`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.mapulus.com`
- URL: `https://api.mapulus.com/v1/tiles/{layer}/{z}/{x}/{y}.pbf`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Serve MVT vector tiles for any boundary type.

**URL template:** `/v1/tiles/{layer}/{z}/{x}/{y}.pbf?apikey=YOUR_KEY`

Returns a protobuf-encoded Mapbox Vector Tile containing boundary polygons
that intersect the requested tile. Each feature includes properties:
`boundary_id`, `name`, `state`, and (for flood layers) `flood_risk` and `flood_type`.

Responses are cached for 1 hour and gzip-compressed when accepted.
Empty tiles return 204 No Content.

## Path parameters

- `layer` string, required: Boundary type to serve as tile layer. AU: `sa1`–`sa4`, `lga`, `poa`, `sal`, `ced`, `sed`, `gccsa`, `ste`, `sua`, `ucl`, `ra`, `sos`, `sosr`, `iloc`, `iare`, `ireg`, `flood`. US: `us_state`, `us_county`, `us_tract`, `us_bg`, `us_place`, `us_cousub`, `us_cd`, `us_sldu`, `us_sldl`, `us_cbsa`, `us_csa`, `us_unsd`, `us_elsd`, `us_scsd`, `us_aiannh`, `us_region`, `us_division`, `us_zcta`, `us_ua`, `us_puma`.
- `z` integer, required: Zoom level
- `x` integer, required: Tile column
- `y` integer, required: Tile row

## Query parameters

- `apikey` string, nullable: API key (for tile URL templates)
