# Fonts (glyphs)

`GET /fonts/{fontstack}/{start}-{end}.pbf`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.maptiler.com`
- URL: `https://api.maptiler.com/fonts/{fontstack}/{start}-{end}.pbf`
- Auth: API key in query parameter `key`
- TypeScript: <https://skmtc.dev/maptiler/apis/maptiler-api-reference/docs/fonts/:fontstack/:start-:end.pbf/get.ts> (a function with typed inputs; its response is checked against the schema)

Generates the glyphs for the requested fonts. Used when displaying vector maps.

## Response `200`

Glyphs of the requested range, encoded as Protocol Buffers (`application/x-protobuf`).

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid glyph range
