# Execute an Overpass query with x402

`POST /x402/interpreter`

## Request

Executes a bounded JSON-output Overpass QL query using per-request x402 payment. Each verified payer wallet has 1,800 requests per minute and 24 concurrent queries, shared across paid REST and MCP calls, not across other wallets. Query execution bounds remain those of Developer; each successful query is paid separately with no monthly request allowance.

When to use: Submit a query using an authorized compatible wallet without a subscription key.

When not to use: Use the subscription interpreter when an API key is available. Query payments do not include tiles or elevation.

## Other responses

- `400`: Error with a stable machine code.
- `401`: Error with a stable machine code.
- `402`: Payment required. The PAYMENT-REQUIRED header carries the challenge: read the network, asset, amount and receiver from it, never from documentation.
- `429`: Error with a stable machine code.
- `500`: Error with a stable machine code.
