# Read request rates, latencies and data freshness

`GET /metrics`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.mapsource.io`
- URL: `https://api.mapsource.io/metrics`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Request rates, success rates, p50/p95/p99 latency, failure counters, dataset ages, and handle usage for the selected time window.

When to use: Monitor performance and identify slow operations or stale datasets.

When not to use: Use /api/status for current service availability.
