# Valid regions for a country

`GET /api/v1/regions`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://mapsdata.ai` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://mapsdata.ai/api/v1/regions`
- Auth: `MapsData API key` (a scheme the document does not define)

List the exact region names `states` accepts.

Submit these verbatim. Abbreviations are deliberately rejected rather than
expanded, because the postal-code tables key on the full name and a silently
unmatched region produces an empty scrape.

  - `country` string, required
  - `country_name` string, required
  - `regions` string[], required: Submit these strings verbatim. Abbreviations are rejected.
