# Confirms one of the account's unconfirmed keys from the console: the owner, signed in by an emailed link, says "this was me" without the key's own link (review of #1339, M4). Upgrades exactly that key, and voids its outstanding verification links.

`POST /v1/console/keys/{key_id}/confirm`

## Path parameters

- `key_id` string, required

## Response `200`

The key is verified (now, or already)

- ConsoleKeyActionResponse: Answer to a console key action.
  - `key_id` string, required: Key id the action applied to.
  - `state` string, required: The key's state afterwards: `verified` or `revoked`.

## Other responses

- `401`: Missing, unknown, revoked or expired session
- `404`: No live key with that id on this account
- `409`: The account already has five verified keys; revoke one first
- `501`: Console not configured
