# Edit a resource

`PUT /restapi/json/v1/resources/{resourceId}`

## Request

JSON string with fields to update. **RESOURCENAME is required** even for partial updates.

This operation is used to edit the resource information in Manage Engine PAM360

        - `RESOURCEURL` string: URL to access the resource
        - `RESOURCETYPE` string: Type of the resource
        - `RESOURCEPASSWORDPOLICY` string: Password policy applied to the resource
        - `RESOURCEDESCRIPTION` string: Description of the resource
        - `RECORD_CONFIGURED_RESOURCE_URL` boolean: Enable recording of configured resource URL
        - `DISABLE_TAB_DUPLICATION` boolean: Prevent opening the same session in multiple browser tabs
        - `WEBSITE_SESSION_RECORDING` boolean: Enable recording for web sessions
        - `GATEWAY_SESSION_RECORDING` boolean: Enable recording for gateway-based sessions
        - `RESOURCECUSTOMFIELD` object[]: Custom fields for the resource
          - `CUSTOMLABEL` string: Label for the custom field
          - `CUSTOMVALUE` string: Value for the custom field
