# Update a project

`PATCH /workspaces/{workspace_id}/projects/{project_id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://app.mammoth.io/api/v2`
- URL: `https://app.mammoth.io/api/v2/workspaces/{workspace_id}/projects/{project_id}`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - API key in header `X-API-KEY` and API key in header `X-API-SECRET` and API key in header `X-WORKSPACE-ID`

Apply `patches` in order. `replace name` renames the project and `replace properties` changes only the property fields sent; both need project update rights. `add`/`remove agent_memory` (value: the text, or the index to remove) edit the caller's own saved agent preferences and are open to any project member. The whole batch is authorized before any patch is applied.

## Path parameters

- `workspace_id` integer, required: Workspace refers to a collection of projects. Workspace ID is unique identifier for workspace.
- `project_id` integer, required: Project to delete

        - `color` string: Color of project
        - `date_format` 'US' | 'UK'
        - `display_date_format` string, nullable: Default display format for date columns in datasets and dataviews created within this project
        - `project_access` 'all_members_of_workspace' | 'some_members_of_workspace' | 'only_me': Project access level

  - `name` string, nullable: Name of project
  - `owner_workspace_id` integer, nullable: Parent Workspace id
  - `updated_at` string, date-time, nullable: Time when last update to project has happened
  - `created_at` string, date-time, nullable: Time when project was created
  - `status` string, nullable: Status of project
  - `properties` object, nullable: Properties of project

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad Request
- `401`: Authorization error
- `403`: Request forbidden -- authorization will not help
