# Update user preferences

`PATCH /preferences`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://app.mammoth.io/api/v2`
- URL: `https://app.mammoth.io/api/v2/preferences`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - API key in header `X-API-KEY` and API key in header `X-API-SECRET` and API key in header `X-WORKSPACE-ID`

This endpoint is used to update user preferences.

## Request body

- PreferencesPatchRequest: Preferences Patch Request
  - `patch` PreferencesPatchOp[], required
    - `op` 'replace', required: Operation
    - `path` string, required: Dot-separated preference path rooted at GLOBAL or WORKSPACE_PREFERENCES, e.g. GLOBAL.PREFERENCES.TOP_TABS_24
    - `value` union: Preference value (object, list, scalar, or null)
      - object
      - string
      - boolean
      - integer
      - number

## Response `200`

Preferences updated

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad Request
- `401`: Authorization error
