# Upload or replace a curated template's picture

`PUT /dashboards/v3/templates/admin/{slug}/thumbnail`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://app.mammoth.io/api/v2`
- URL: `https://app.mammoth.io/api/v2/dashboards/v3/templates/admin/{slug}/thumbnail`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - API key in header `X-API-KEY` and API key in header `X-API-SECRET` and API key in header `X-WORKSPACE-ID`

The image the template's card shows, as multipart. PNG, JPEG or WebP, read from the file's own magic bytes rather than its name, up to 1 MB. Replaces whatever was there — the content hash moves, so every card pointing at the old picture points somewhere new on its next read and no cache has to be told anything. Writes nothing else on the row: not its filing, not its state, not its publish sequence.
