# A look at the data this template opens on

`GET /dashboards/v3/templates/admin/{slug}/data-preview`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://app.mammoth.io/api/v2`
- URL: `https://app.mammoth.io/api/v2/dashboards/v3/templates/admin/{slug}/data-preview`
- Auth: one of:

  - API key in header `X-API-KEY` and API key in header `X-API-SECRET` and API key in header `X-WORKSPACE-ID`

The data stored WITH this template — which is what its takers receive, what the gallery previews and what every gate scores it against. At most 50 rows, and `capped` says whether the dataset has more, because a client comparing what it got against a limit it hardcoded would call a 50-row dataset truncated.

One source, where there used to be two: a registry sample resolved from the row's filing, or the dataview a bundle-imported template served. Those were two objects that moved independently, so the screen had to choose and could choose wrong. Needs no workspace and no data cluster — the rows are in AppDB.
