# Derive a full Style bundle from signals

`POST /dashboards/v3/styles/derive`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://app.mammoth.io/api/v2`
- URL: `https://app.mammoth.io/api/v2/dashboards/v3/styles/derive`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - API key in header `X-API-KEY` and API key in header `X-API-SECRET` and API key in header `X-WORKSPACE-ID`

Forward the signals to dash-render's deterministic /v1/derive-style and return the baked Style bundle for the editor's live preview. Synchronous: derive-style touches no browser and no network — it is a sub-second pure-engine call, so the async-job machinery (with its poll) would only add latency. The render round-trip runs off the event loop.

## Request body

- DeriveStyleSpec: Signals to derive a Style bundle from
  - `params` DeriveStyleParams
    - `signals` object: Derivation signals (primary/accents/fontName/ground/…)

## Response `200`

A derived Style bundle

- DeriveStyleResponse
  - `style_tokens` object, required

## Other responses

- `201`: Document created, URL follows
- `400`: Bad request syntax or unsupported method
- `403`: Request forbidden -- authorization will not help
