# Update a custom style

`PUT /dashboards/v3/styles/custom/{style_id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://app.mammoth.io/api/v2`

- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - API key in header `X-API-KEY` and API key in header `X-API-SECRET` and API key in header `X-WORKSPACE-ID`

## Request body

- CustomStyleSpec: A custom style
  - `params` CustomStyleParams
    - `signals` object, nullable: The derivation signals (primary/accents/font/…)
    - `tokens` object, nullable: A full baked Style bundle (wins over signals)
    - `name` string, nullable: The style label
    - `blurb` string, nullable: Short description
    - `source` object, nullable: Provenance ({type: 'manual'|'brand', …})

## Response `200`

A custom style

- StyleResponse
  - `style` object, required

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad request syntax or unsupported method
- `403`: Request forbidden -- authorization will not help
