# Record a dashboard the chart was added to

`POST /dashboards/v3/live-charts/{dashboard_id}/placements`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://app.mammoth.io/api/v2`
- URL: `https://app.mammoth.io/api/v2/dashboards/v3/live-charts/{dashboard_id}/placements`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - API key in header `X-API-KEY` and API key in header `X-API-SECRET` and API key in header `X-WORKSPACE-ID`

Called after the chart's figure was added to another dashboard (POST /dashboards/{id}/figures), so the chart's page lists it. The figure must be on that dashboard; 400 otherwise.

- `dashboard_id` integer, required

## Request body

- RecordPlacementSpec: A dashboard the chart was added to
  - `params` RecordPlacementParams, required
    - `dashboard_id` integer, required: The dashboard it was added to
    - `figure_id` string, required

## Response `204`

Request fulfilled, nothing follows

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad request syntax or unsupported method
- `403`: Request forbidden -- authorization will not help
