# Attach a workbook in chat

`POST /dashboards/v3/attachments`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://app.mammoth.io/api/v2`
- URL: `https://app.mammoth.io/api/v2/dashboards/v3/attachments`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - API key in header `X-API-KEY` and API key in header `X-API-SECRET` and API key in header `X-WORKSPACE-ID`

One uploaded .pbix / .twb / .twbx, parked for later reads. The returned `attachment_id` is the caller's alone (user + workspace) and is what /v3/attachments/{attachment_id}/intent and /assess take. Nothing is read, imported or landed here.

## Response `201`

Workbook attached

- AttachmentResponse
  - `attachment_id` integer, required
  - `filename` string, required
  - `kind` string, required

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad request syntax or unsupported method
- `403`: Request forbidden -- authorization will not help
