# Read an attached workbook against one of your views

`POST /dashboards/v3/attachments/{attachment_id}/intent`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://app.mammoth.io/api/v2`
- URL: `https://app.mammoth.io/api/v2/dashboards/v3/attachments/{attachment_id}/intent`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - API key in header `X-API-KEY` and API key in header `X-API-SECRET` and API key in header `X-WORKSPACE-ID`

Maps the attached workbook's fields and visuals onto the target view's REAL columns (the template mapping resolver). Nothing is landed and no sample data is made. Poll /jobs/{future_id}: the result is `{intent, coverage: {mapped, total}, unmapped_visuals, field_map}`, or `{rejected}` when the file cannot be read.

Read queued; poll /jobs/{future_id}

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad request syntax or unsupported method
- `403`: Request forbidden -- authorization will not help
