# Read an attached workbook before importing it

`POST /dashboards/v3/attachments/{attachment_id}/assess`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://app.mammoth.io/api/v2`
- URL: `https://app.mammoth.io/api/v2/dashboards/v3/attachments/{attachment_id}/assess`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - API key in header `X-API-KEY` and API key in header `X-API-SECRET` and API key in header `X-WORKSPACE-ID`

The same read /v3/pbix/assess and /v3/twb/assess do on an upload, on an attachment. Poll /jobs/{future_id}.

## Path parameters

- `attachment_id` integer, required

## Response `202`

Read queued; poll /jobs/{future_id}

  - `future_id` integer, required

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad request syntax or unsupported method
- `403`: Request forbidden -- authorization will not help
