# Cancel a broadcast send

`POST /v1/broadcasts/{broadcast_id}/cancel`

## Request

- Auth: HTTP bearer

Requests cancellation for delivery work that has not reached the provider. Provider-accepted emails cannot be recalled. Repeat the same request with the same idempotency key when the response is lost.

Broadcast cancellation accepted or already complete

    - `status` 'canceling' | 'canceled', required: canceling while remaining work is stopping, or canceled when cancellation already finished.

## Other responses

- `404`: Broadcast send not found
- `409`: Broadcast send can no longer be canceled
