# Send a verification code

`POST /send-code`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.mailly.site` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://api.mailly.site/send-code`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Sends a 6-digit verification code (valid for 5 minutes) to the given email; counts as 1 email of usage.

  - `email` string, required: Recipient email

## Response `200`

Verification code sent

  - `message` string, required

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid request body or email format
- `402`: Insufficient balance
- `403`: Workspace sending is paused (workspace_sending_paused)
- `429`: Rolling 24h recipient limit
- `500`: Send failed
