# Send a test event to a webhook endpoint

`POST /inbox/webhook/endpoints/{endpointId}/test`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.mailly.site` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://api.mailly.site/inbox/webhook/endpoints/{endpointId}/test`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Immediately POSTs one signed event with type webhook.test (Mailly-Event-Type: webhook.test, body.test = true) and returns the HTTP result. The payload has the same shape as email.received in the endpoint's body format, but the sample email is not stored, so content_url cannot be fetched. Return any 2xx to pass. Works for disabled endpoints too; nothing is queued or retried.

## Other responses

- `400`: Endpoint url is no longer allowed
- `401`: Missing or invalid API key
- `404`: Resource not found
- `429`: Tested too recently
