# Change the active topic catalog order.

`PUT /topics/order`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.maildroppa.com` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://api.maildroppa.com/topics/order`
- Auth: API key in header `X-API-Key`

Updates the order used on subscriber preference pages. Form-specific order and the default topic remain unchanged.

## Request body

- TopicOrder: Every active topic exactly once, in the desired catalog order.
  - `topicIds` string[]: Ordered active topic IDs; archived topics retain their positions.

## Response `204`

Topic order saved.

## Other responses

- `400`: The order must include every active topic in this account exactly once.
- `401`: Not Authorized
- `403`: Not Allowed
- `409`: Subscriber bulk operation prevents catalog changes.
- `428`: Accept the customer agreements in the app before using API keys.
