# Archive a topic.

`POST /topics/{topicId}/archive`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.maildroppa.com` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://api.maildroppa.com/topics/{topicId}/archive`
- Auth: API key in header `X-API-Key`

Archives a topic that is not the default and not referenced by forms, messages, segments, imports, enrollments or open signups.

## Path parameters

- `topicId` string, uuid, required

## Response `204`

Topic archived.

## Other responses

- `400`: Topic already archived.
- `401`: Not Authorized
- `403`: Not Allowed
- `404`: Topic not found in this account.
- `409`: Topic is in use or a subscriber bulk operation prevents archiving.
- `428`: Accept the customer agreements in the app before using API keys.
