# Create a customer tag.

`POST /tags`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.maildroppa.com` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://api.maildroppa.com/tags`
- Auth: API key in header `X-API-Key`

Creates a CUSTOMER tag that can be assigned to subscribers and used in segment conditions.

## Request body

- AddTag: Customer-created tag that can be assigned to subscribers for segmentation and organization.
  - `name` string: Tag name shown in the app.

## Response `200`

Tag created.

- Tag: Tag that can be assigned to subscribers for segmentation and organization.
  - `id` string, uuid
  - `name` string: Tag name shown in the app.
  - `origin` 'CUSTOMER' | 'SYSTEM'
  - `active` boolean: Whether the tag can currently be assigned to subscribers.
  - `archivedAt` string, date-time

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad Request
- `401`: Not Authorized
- `403`: Not Allowed
- `428`: Accept the customer agreements in the app before using API keys.
