# Delete a segment.

`DELETE /segments/{segmentId}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.maildroppa.com` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://api.maildroppa.com/segments/{segmentId}`
- Auth: API key in header `X-API-Key`

Deletes a customer segment when current usage rules allow it.

## Path parameters

- `segmentId` string, uuid, required

## Response `204`

Segment deleted.

## Other responses

- `400`: Segment cannot be deleted because it is in use.
- `401`: Not Authorized
- `403`: Not Allowed
- `404`: Segment not found.
- `428`: Accept the customer agreements in the app before using API keys.
