# Delete an unused field option.

`DELETE /fields/{fieldId}/options/{optionId}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.maildroppa.com` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://api.maildroppa.com/fields/{fieldId}/options/{optionId}`
- Auth: API key in header `X-API-Key`

Physically removes an option only when it is not used by subscriber values, segments, automations, or forms.

## Path parameters

- `fieldId` string, uuid, required
- `optionId` string, uuid, required

## Response `204`

Field option deleted.

## Other responses

- `400`: Field option is still in use or cannot be deleted.
- `401`: Not Authorized
- `403`: Not Allowed
- `404`: Field or option not found.
- `428`: Accept the customer agreements in the app before using API keys.
