# Archive a customer-created subscriber field.

`DELETE /fields/{fieldId}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.maildroppa.com` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://api.maildroppa.com/fields/{fieldId}`
- Auth: API key in header `X-API-Key`

Archives a customer-created field so it is no longer active. Built-in fields cannot be archived.

## Path parameters

- `fieldId` string, uuid, required

## Response `204`

Field archived.

## Other responses

- `400`: Field cannot be archived.
- `401`: Not Authorized
- `403`: Not Allowed
- `404`: Field not found.
- `409`: Field archive blocked by write usages.
- `428`: Accept the customer agreements in the app before using API keys.
