# Get Segment Member Count

`GET /3.0/segments/{segment_id}/count`

## Request

Get the current number of members in a segment. If there is no recent count, the API calculates a new count. The request waits until the count is complete.

## Path parameters

- `segment_id` string, required

## Response `200`

- object: The current number of members in a segment.
  - `count` integer, nullable: The number of members that are in the segment now.

## Other responses

- `default`: An error generated by the Mailchimp API.
