# Search leads by email

`GET /v1/leads/search`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.mailbeast.ai`
- URL: `https://api.mailbeast.ai/v1/leads/search`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Find leads across all of the workspace’s campaigns by email (or fragment), for dedupe and cross-campaign lookup. Returns up to 10 matches.

Requires one of the following scopes: `leads:read`, `leads:all`, `all:read`, `all:all`.

## Query parameters

- `email` string, required

## Response `200`

- LeadSearchApiResponseDto
  - `data` LeadSearchResultApiDto[], required: Up to 10 matches; one row per campaign the email appears in.
    - `id` string, uuid, required
    - `email` string, required
    - `firstName` string, nullable
    - `lastName` string, nullable
    - `campaignId` string, uuid, required: The campaign this lead belongs to.
    - `campaignName` string, required

## Other responses

- `401`: Missing or invalid API key.
- `403`: The key lacks a required scope, or the plan does not include API access.
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded - retry after the interval in the Retry-After header.
