# Get Task Messages

`GET /v1/ai/agents/tasks/{taskId}/messages`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://eu1.api.matillion.com/dpc`
- URL: `https://eu1.api.matillion.com/dpc/v1/ai/agents/tasks/{taskId}/messages`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Returns paginated events for a task. Use the nextCursor field to retrieve subsequent pages.

- `taskId` string, uuid, required

## Query parameters

- `limit` integer
- `paginationToken` string

## Response `200`

Task messages retrieved successfully

- GetTaskMessagesResponse
  - `more` string: Token for fetching the next batch of results for this query; if omitted then there are no more.
  - `results` TaskEvent[]: The list of events for the task
    - `data` unknown
    - `groupId` string: Optional identifier for grouped events returned by the upstream copilot service
    - `timestamp` string, date-time

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid request parameters
- `401`: Missing or invalid authentication token
- `403`: Insufficient permissions to retrieve task messages
- `404`: Task not found
- `502`: Upstream service error
- `504`: Upstream service timeout
