# Nonce

`GET /api/v2/{portalId}/auth/nonce`

Generates a nonce for the given wallet address to be used in the authentication process. The nonce should be included in the signed message (CAIP-122)

## Other responses

- `400`: Client Error
- `500`: Server Error
- `502`: Upstream Error — the portal configuration service could not be reached. Safe to retry.
