# Edit the caption of a published post

`PATCH /v1/workspaces/{workspaceId}/content/{id}/published-caption`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.maevesocial.com` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)

- Auth: HTTP bearer

Replaces the live text of published, user-created Facebook, LinkedIn or LinkedIn Page root content, then stores it in Maeve Social. Read allowedActions.canUpdatePublishedCaption first. LinkedIn text is limited to 3,000 characters, and only the text changes: media, polls, documents and link previews stay as published. An empty message clears the caption where the platform allows it.
