# KOL PnL leaderboard

`GET /kol/leaderboard`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://madeonsol.com/api/v1`
- URL: `https://madeonsol.com/api/v1/kol/leaderboard`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Ranked KOL leaderboard with 180 days of trade history. PRO+ can sort by winrate / profit factor / avg ROI / early-entry share / consistency.

## Query parameters

- `period` 'today' | '7d' | '30d' | '90d' | '180d'
- `limit` integer
- `offset` integer
- `sort` 'pnl' | 'winrate' | 'volume' | 'avg_roi' | 'profit_factor' | 'early_entry_pct' | 'consistency'
- `strategy` 'scalper' | 'day_trader' | 'swing_trader' | 'hodler' | 'mixed'
- `min_winrate` number

## Response `200`

OK

- object
  - `leaderboard` object[]
    - `name` string
    - `wallet` string
    - `pnl` number: Realized PnL in SOL
    - `buy_count` integer
    - `sell_count` integer
    - `volume` number
    - `win_rate` number: 0-100. Over positions with known proceeds only (migration 512).
    - `completeness` 'complete' | 'incomplete': Realized-PnL completeness for the KOL (migration 512). incomplete when at least one KOL sell in the window has unknown SOL proceeds (they went to another wallet or cannot be proven; kol_trades valuation_status unvalued, sol_amount null): those positions still reduce holdings but are left out of realized PnL, win rate, ROI and the ranking, never booked as 0 proceeds or a loss. This is realized-PnL completeness. It is NOT `coverage.completeness` (source-coverage verification: verified / not_verified / ...), which says whether the trade capture for this subject is proven complete.
    - `incomplete_reasons` string[]: Empty when complete; proceeds_unattributed when unknown_realizations > 0.
    - `unknown_realizations` integer: Migration 512: (KOL, token) positions with a sell whose proceeds are unknown, excluded from realized PnL / win rate / ROI. 0 when complete.
    - `unknown_proceeds_sells` integer: Migration 512: KOL sells with unknown proceeds (sol_amount null) in the window. 0 when complete.
    - `median_hold_minutes_30d` number, nullable: Median hold time in minutes over the last 30 days.
    - `percentile_early_entry_30d` number, nullable: Percentile rank for early entry timing over the last 30 days.
    - `entry_mc_samples` integer, nullable: KOL buys with an MC-at-trade over the period (complete SQL aggregate). null only when that aggregate failed (entry_mc_complete=false) — never a fake 0
    - `avg_entry_mc_usd` integer, nullable: Average MC at entry over those buys; null with 0 samples or when the aggregate failed
  - `pagination` object
    - `limit` integer
    - `offset` integer
    - `returned` integer
    - `total` integer: Rows in the filtered UNIVERSE (see universe) — not all KOLs
    - `has_more` boolean
  - `universe` object: Pagination walks a FIXED ranked set (audit F19), not every KOL: the top max_size KOLs by realized PnL for the period; sort/strategy/min_winrate re-rank and filter within it.
    - `kind` 'top_kols_by_realized_pnl'
    - `period` string
    - `max_size` integer
    - `size` integer
    - `note` string
  - `entry_mc_window_start` string, date-time, nullable: Start of the entry-MC aggregate window (bucketed to 5 min; null = all time)
  - `entry_mc_complete` boolean: false = the entry-MC aggregate failed; per-row entry_mc_samples / avg_entry_mc_usd are null (unknown)
  - `period` string

## Other responses

- `401`: Missing or invalid API key, or an expired free-tier key. Authentication-stage error: no `X-RateLimit-*` headers, no `_rid`.
- `403`: Forbidden. One of: the key's tier is below this endpoint's or parameter's gate (`tier_required` with an `upgrade` block); the public demo key used outside its allow-list (`demo_key_endpoint_not_allowed`); an invalid or revoked key; an origin-restricted key called from a disallowed origin (`code` `origin_not_allowed` / `origin_required`). `X-RateLimit-*` headers are present only on `tier_required`.
- `429`: Too many requests. Every 429 carries `Retry-After`. A quota 429 (`rate_limit_exceeded`, with `X-RateLimit-*`), a heavy-query concurrency 429 (`error_kind` `concurrency`/`capacity`), or the per-IP authentication-failure block (30 failed auths/min; plain `error` + `retry_after_seconds`, no `X-RateLimit-*`).
- `500`: Unexpected server error from the route (`Internal server error`, with `_rid`). Safe to retry with backoff. A failed API-key lookup is a 503 `auth_backend_unavailable`, never a 500.
- `503`: The API-key or subscription lookup could not be answered (authentication stage). Retryable and not your fault: it is never counted as a failed authentication. Honour `Retry-After`; no `X-RateLimit-*`, no `_rid`.
