# Compare 2-4 KOL wallets (5 on ULTRA)

`GET /kol/compare`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://madeonsol.com/api/v1`
- URL: `https://madeonsol.com/api/v1/kol/compare`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Side-by-side stats (PnL, winrate, volume, trade count) plus shared-token overlap (last 30d) for multiple KOL wallets.

## Query parameters

- `wallets` string, required

## Response `200`

OK

- object
  - `profiles` object[]: One entry per requested wallet, in the order given. Wallets not in the active KOL roster return only `wallet` and `found: false`.
    - `wallet` string
    - `found` boolean
    - `name` string
    - `twitter_url` string, nullable
    - `strategy_tag` string, nullable
    - `auto_strategy_tag` string, nullable
    - `winrate_7d` number, nullable
    - `winrate_30d` number, nullable
    - `avg_roi_7d` number, nullable
    - `avg_roi_30d` number, nullable
    - `profit_factor_7d` number, nullable
    - `profit_factor_30d` number, nullable
    - `pnl_7d` number, nullable
    - `pnl_30d` number, nullable
    - `early_entry_pct_30d` number, nullable
    - `consistency_7d` number, nullable
    - `median_hold_minutes_30d` number, nullable
    - `closed_positions_7d` integer
    - `closed_positions_30d` integer
    - `is_heating_up` boolean
    - `is_cold` boolean
    - `unknown_realizations_7d` integer: Migration 512: 7-day positions excluded from the 7-day PnL metrics (unknown proceeds).
    - `completeness` 'complete' | 'incomplete': Realized-PnL completeness for the KOL (migration 512). incomplete when at least one KOL sell in the window has unknown SOL proceeds (they went to another wallet or cannot be proven; kol_trades valuation_status unvalued, sol_amount null): those positions still reduce holdings but are left out of realized PnL, win rate, ROI and the ranking, never booked as 0 proceeds or a loss. This is realized-PnL completeness. It is NOT `coverage.completeness` (source-coverage verification: verified / not_verified / ...), which says whether the trade capture for this subject is proven complete.
    - `incomplete_reasons` string[]: Empty when complete; proceeds_unattributed when unknown_realizations > 0.
    - `unknown_realizations` integer: Migration 512: (KOL, token) positions with a sell whose proceeds are unknown, excluded from realized PnL / win rate / ROI. 0 when complete.
    - `unknown_proceeds_sells` integer: Migration 512: KOL sells with unknown proceeds (sol_amount null) in the window. 0 when complete.
    - `percentile_pnl_7d` number, nullable
    - `percentile_winrate_7d` number, nullable
    - `percentile_pnl_30d` number, nullable
    - `percentile_winrate_30d` number, nullable
    - `percentile_early_entry_30d` number, nullable
  - `overlap_meta` object: What overlap covers (audit F11): the top `returned` of `total` qualifying tokens from ONE complete SQL aggregate over the window (no row-clamped sample). Same on the x402 twin.
    - `window_start` string, date-time
    - `min_wallets` integer
    - `total` integer, nullable: All qualifying tokens; null when the aggregate failed
    - `returned` integer
    - `has_more` boolean, nullable
    - `complete` boolean: false = the overlap aggregate failed; overlap is then empty/unknown, not "no overlap"
  - `overlap` object[]: Tokens bought by 2+ of the given wallets in the last 30d, top 25 by wallet-count then buy-count
    - `token_mint` string
    - `token_symbol` string, nullable
    - `token_name` string, nullable
    - `wallets` string[]
    - `buy_count` integer

## Other responses

- `401`: Missing or invalid API key, or an expired free-tier key. Authentication-stage error: no `X-RateLimit-*` headers, no `_rid`.
- `403`: Forbidden. One of: the key's tier is below this endpoint's or parameter's gate (`tier_required` with an `upgrade` block); the public demo key used outside its allow-list (`demo_key_endpoint_not_allowed`); an invalid or revoked key; an origin-restricted key called from a disallowed origin (`code` `origin_not_allowed` / `origin_required`). `X-RateLimit-*` headers are present only on `tier_required`.
- `429`: Too many requests. Every 429 carries `Retry-After`. A quota 429 (`rate_limit_exceeded`, with `X-RateLimit-*`), a heavy-query concurrency 429 (`error_kind` `concurrency`/`capacity`), or the per-IP authentication-failure block (30 failed auths/min; plain `error` + `retry_after_seconds`, no `X-RateLimit-*`).
- `500`: Unexpected server error from the route (`Internal server error`, with `_rid`). Safe to retry with backoff. A failed API-key lookup is a 503 `auth_backend_unavailable`, never a 500.
- `503`: The API-key or subscription lookup could not be answered (authentication stage). Retryable and not your fault: it is never counted as a failed authentication. Honour `Retry-After`; no `X-RateLimit-*`, no `_rid`.
