# Create and deploy a stream application.

`POST /_fabric/{fabric}/_api/streamapps`

## Request

Create and deploy a stream application.

## Path parameters

- `fabric` string, required

## Request body

- StreamAppRequest
  - `definition` string
  - `regions` string[]

## Response `201`

Successfully created stream application.

- StreamAppResponseContainer201
  - `code` integer: HTTP response code.
  - `error` boolean: Flag if there is an error in response. *False* for this response.
  - `streamApps` StreamAppResponse[]
    - `name` string
    - `definition` string
    - `regions` string[]
    - `isActive` boolean

## Other responses

- `400`: Failed due to missing or malformed data. Verify that all parameters are complete.
- `409`: Failed becasue stream application already exists.
- `422`: Failed to create stream application because there is an error in the definition.
