# Rename search view

`PUT /_fabric/{fabric}/_api/search/view/{view-name}/rename`

## Request

Renames a search view.

**Note**: This method is not available in a cluster.

## Path parameters

- `fabric` string, string, required
- `view-name` string, string, required

## Request body

- RenameView
  - `name` string: The new name of the search view.

## Response `200`

Successfully renamed search view.

- ExampleOperationSuccessRc200
  - `code` integer: HTTP response code.
  - `error` boolean: Flag if there is an error in response. *False* for this response.
  - `result` boolean: Return *true* flag if operation is successfully completed.

## Other responses

- `400`: Failed due to missing or malformed data. Verify that all parameters are complete.
- `403`: Failed to validate because you do not have access to the server.
- `404`: Failed to find specified collection.
